Black-naped Tern (Sterna sumatrana) is a resident in Maldives, Seychelles and Andaman & Nicobar islands of India   Size: 35 cm

Black-naped Tern is a small tern with a tropical distribution, breeding from Aldabra Atoll, western Indian Ocean to Fiji and Samoa in the Pacific Ocean. The species has only recently been definitely recorded from Cosmoledo Atoll 1000 km south-west of Mahe, Seychelles.
